Linda Lopez is the executive director of the Lincoln-Way High School District 210 Foundation for Educational Excellence, a position she has held since May of 2006. As the executive director, Linda works with a volunteer board of directors to further the Foundation’s mission of enriching and enhancing student achievement across the district. The Foundation has donation over $2 million to the district since its inception in 1994. Over one million of that has been donated since 2006.
     Prior to joining Lincoln-Way High School District 210, Linda served as Director of Marketing and Development for the YMCA and Director of Development and Community Relations for Crisis Center for South Suburbia—a domestic violence shelter. Linda also worked at St. James Hospital and Health Centers as a member of the marketing team. She was the writer for the chief physician and CEO, and writer/editor of hospital publications including the hospital magazine.
     Linda began her career at Queen of Peace High School, where she devoted 16 years to furthering their mission of educating and empowering women of Peace. She served as the public relations director, and was a founding member of the Office of Institutional Advancement. It was in this capacity that Linda first experienced the world of development and fundraising. She assisted with the school’s first dinner auction, participated in donor visits and implemented a grant development program.
     Linda is a member of various professional organizations including the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Southwest Suburban Philanthropic Network. She is also a member and former president of the Kiwanis Club of Tinley Park, the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce, and the Mokena Government Consortium, as well as a Silver Cross community trustee. Linda holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Governor’s State University.
     She and her husband have supported the efforts of Together We Cope in a number of ways over the years. She is honored to support Cope’s mission of helping families cope in times of crisis as a board director. [back to administration]
