Len Schaafsma became a board member in 2000. He can fix a machine, drive a truck, build shelves, unload a food delivery van, clean and organize the office, build work areas – and make the best soup you have ever tasted!
     Len Schaafsma does all that and more at Together We Cope. Len's service goes back many years, assisting us as we moved from one location to another before settling in at our Tinley Park location.
     After he retired in 2002 from RR Donnelly, where he had worked for forty-two years as a machinist, he became a fixture at Together We Cope and is known as the go-to-guy with the can-do spirit.
     In 2009, Len received the Theodore H. Reimer Volunteer of the Year Award from Together We Cope. [back to administration]
