GCFD Hunger Walk

gcfdlogoThe Greater Chicago Food Depository’s 31st Annual Hunger Walk is Saturday, June 25 at the beautiful and historic Jackson Park in Chicago. Together We Cope earns food purchase credits at the depository based on the number of TWC volunteers who participate in the walk. Anyone is eligible to walk on the TWC team and our agency provides transportation to and from Jackson Park.
All walkers must register online, and on event day must produce the Eventbrite ticket issued to them. Register at chicagosfoodbank.org/hungerwalk.
This year there is a $25 registration fee, but it will be waived for our walkers if they plug in our agency code when they register. The TWC agency code is A00233. (capital A, zero, zero, 233)

TWC provides resources to families in temporary crisis
A prevention agency based in Tinley Park, Illinois, Together We Cope provides resources to families in temporary crisis, enabling them to stay in their homes.

Since 1982, we have been bridging the gap for south suburban residents in 27 communities by supplying food, shelter, clothing and referrals, empowering them to return to self-sufficiency.
With 200 volunteers, generous community donations of food, clothing and household goods, and groceries purchased from the Greater Chicago Food Depository, TWC serves over 1,400 families each month.

Of every dollar donated to TWC, 92 cents goes to client programs and services.
